"My journey began at the age of 16. As I watched Dr. Pereles from the corner of the room, I was in a trance, in complete awe of the man and the trade. He was explaining an ACL reconstruction, but the words went in one ear and out the other. As much as I tried to listen, I was completely engrossed in the intricacies of the surgery. I did not know this was the beginning of a journey; it would be a while before I realized what this moment meant."

A 5 Star Preview
Since this blog is about my weekly journey through medical school, it is only fair that I publish a small clip of the filming that Ronnie and I have been working on so diligently. We film then study, film then study, film and then sleep (or go uptown - Ronnie only). So here I leave you with a quick snapshot. None of these clips are going to be used in the actual video, BUT these may become part of the "Take-Outs." The actual filming has been hilarious. All the professors, Claire Kendig, Alan Smeltz, and Gary Burke have been nothing short of perfect in front of the camera, and today I'm going to "make it rain" on my 5 Star Ladies with some Netters flashcards. I cannot divulge all of our secrets though; apparently Skit Night is a huge competition among all the medical school classes. This IS the first-years' contribution to the event, so a lot is riding on Ronnie and my shoulders. Victory for the MS1s is upon us! My dream of being a rapper continues...
