There will (most likely) be a 7 week hiatus on this blog. In just a few hours I will be boarding a plane to Western Samoa to visit Phil. After ten days there, I will spend another week and a half backpacking on the north island of New Zealand. Immediately following this excursion I will hop the pond to Australia to scuba dive in the Great Barrier Reef, then fly to Tanzania to climb to the roof of Africa (Mt. Kilimanjaro) and safari on the Serengeti.I want to be able to post on my blog on the way; if not, I will be writing in my journal every day. One of the many things I will be observing is how health care is run in the different countries. I will be meeting people, asking about how they like their system and what are some of their experiences. Phil already has some interesting tales, and I'm sure I will pick up more on the way.
I haven't heard from Duke, so it's safe to say I will be a Tar Heel again! This means four more years of free basketball tickets...
